Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
* 13-week assignment in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Weekend requirements to be discussed during the interview
* Call requirements to be discussed during the interview
* Scheduling is flexible and posted out one month in advance
* Floating required as needed based on unit needs
* Patient ratio of 1:2 with assignments based on acuity and skill level
* 16-bed unit serving surgical population with a specialty focus on oncology patients
* Perform ICU procedures including central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations
* Operate ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors
* Document using Meditech system
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* CCRN certification preferred
* Experience with CRRT and hypothermia protocol preferred
* Meditech experience preferred
* Active RN Texas license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
* Dress code: Royal blue scrubs required for RN staff
* Nail policy: Clean and healthy nails only; no artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails permitted
* Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, including nose rings and tongue rings
