Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Patient ratio of 5:1
* Work on a 24-bed Progressive Care Unit on the 2 North floor
* Day shift staffing includes charge nurse, 4-5 RNs, and 2-3 PCTs
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
* Cardiac experience preferred
* Prior Meditech experience preferred
* Perform post-op recovery for surgical and cath lab patients
* Care for post-op orthopedic patients including spine and joint procedures
* Manage a variety of patient populations including elective ortho, spine, GYN surgeries, elective cath lab procedures, stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure
* Administer set rate cardiac drips (non-titrating except heparin)
* Work with telemonitoring and post-op monitoring equipment
* EMR system: Meditech/CPN
* Modified self-scheduling process with schedules posted 3 weeks in advance
* Friendly, outgoing personality and teamwork-oriented mindset preferred

This is a brand new state-of-the-art Progressive Care Unit featuring ADA/Bari rooms with in-room Hoyer lifts. The facility fosters a great unit culture with excellent teamwork and collaboration, supported by staff with a wide range of nursing experience. The unit provides care for a diverse patient population and is equipped with modern technology to support high-quality patient outcomes.
