L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position on a Labor & Delivery unit
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend required
* 12 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 1:3 on nights and weekends
* 11-bed LDRP unit providing couplet care
* Most newborns room in with parents
* Care for laboring patients, couplet care, and triage of obstetrical patients
* Charting in Epic required
* 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers welcome
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
* Required skills include: assisting with vaginal delivery, cesarean section, newborn assessment, breastfeeding/lactation support, couplet care, infant identification, phototherapy, thermoregulation, newborn hypoglycemia management, C-section recovery, and obstetrical triage
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* May be expected to float to like units within scope based on facility needs
