Job Details:

* 15-week contract for holiday coverage
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a large volume emergency department with high acuity patients required
* First-time travelers will be considered
* Shift times available: Days 7:00 AM?7:00 PM, 9:00 AM?9:00 PM, Mids 10:00 AM?10:00 PM, 11:00 AM?11:00 PM, 12:00 PM?12:00 AM, 1:00 PM?1:00 AM, 2:00 PM?2:00 AM, Evenings 3:00 PM?3:00 AM, Nights 7:00 PM?7:00 AM
* Every other weekend rotation required with occasional back-to-back weekends; flexibility preferred
* No on-call or floating required
* Scrub color: any, no logos
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
* EMR: Epic experience required
* Must be proficient in barcode scanning medication administration, managing medication drips, and blood product administration
* Triage experience required; must pass hospital's Triage Test before being allowed to triage
* Must be able to set up chest tubes and arterial lines, assist with trauma and code cases, perform splinting, and manage BiPAP/ventilators
* Strong understanding of ESI required
* Pediatric emergency medicine experience highly preferred
* Experience with Point of Care Labs is a plus
* Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatric, including pediatrics (medical and trauma), stroke, cardiac, behavioral health, and substance use disorder patients
* Patient ratios: 1:3?5 based on acuity; emergency department is set up in zones including a fast track green zone with 13 beds

Facility:

This 226-bed Level III non-profit community hospital features a 34-bed emergency department seeing 200?250 patients per day, making it the busiest emergency department in the state. The facility operates as a Level III trauma center with specialized capabilities including stroke care with TNK administration, cardiac catheterization lab services, and stabilization and transfer services for high acuity cases such as neurosurgery and multi-system trauma. The emergency department is organized into structured zones to efficiently manage a high volume and diverse patient population.
