Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend or half of weekends required
* Holiday coverage required based on unit needs
* No on-call or standby requirement
* First to float when staffing needs arise
* Float to other ICUs in the Valley including Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center; may also float outside of ICU to serve as a 1:1 sitter
* Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; prefer experience in a similar size or larger ICU and hospital
* Must be proficient in titrating drips including Dopamine, Epinephrine, Norepinephrine, Cardene, Nitro, Neo, Vasopressin, Diltiazem, Insulin, and Esmolol
* Care for ICU patients including CABG, CVA, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral brain hemorrhage, GI bleeds, DKA, STEMI, septic shock, overdose, respiratory failure, neurosurgery, and open heart cases; trauma, burn, and transplant patients are not seen on this unit
* CRRT, ECMO, and balloon pump experience not required and will not be assigned
* Monitor and read patient strips independently using Spacelabs system
* Charting system: EPIC
* Unit orientation: 1-2 shifts
* No scrub color or dress code requirement
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a combined Surgical ICU and Medical ICU with a total of 32 beds, also caring for neuro ICU patients. The unit is supported by charge nurses on each unit who do not routinely take patient assignments, as well as resource nurses, hospitalists, and intensivists available in-house around the clock. Respiratory therapy is staffed 24/7 with a minimum of two therapists per ICU, managing ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP equipment. Certified nursing assistants are available on each unit to support the nursing staff.
