Job Details:

* 13-week contract
* 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Self-scheduling
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 3 weekend shifts per contract required
* Float to like units may be required
* One pre-approved time off request allowed
* Caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Daily census of 20 patients across 20 beds
* 2 years of experience required
* Past critical care experience required
* Cerner charting system experience highly preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, neuro intensive care, PICC line management, post neurosurgery management, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, traumatic brain injury care, and ventilator management

As one of the ten largest general hospitals in the state, the facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
