Job Details:

* 4x12 shift schedule, working 12-hour day shifts beginning at 7:00 AM
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers are welcome to apply
* California nursing license required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP
* Required skills include: NICU III, NICU IV, care of neonates under 24-28 weeks, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, feedings (bottle, breast, and gavage), placement and management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes, isolation precautions and PPE, arterial line management, central line and implanted line care, UAC, UVC, IV vasopressors, surfactants, steroids, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
* Charting system experience required; any system accepted
* Patient population includes neonates and infants
* Unit daily census of 35 with 53 total beds
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, and social services
* Float required to Nursery and Pediatric units
* Strict dress code in effect: no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos must be covered, no visible body piercings other than earrings, no facial or nose rings, and earrings may not extend beyond the earlobe or be hoop earrings

This facility operates a Level III/IV NICU with 53 beds, providing specialized care for critically ill neonates and infants ranging from sick newborns to premature infants under 24 weeks gestation. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, social services, and interpretation services, reflecting the facility's commitment to holistic, patient-centered neonatal care.
