RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend required with 12 weekend shifts per contract
* No on-call requirements
* Self-scheduling with block schedule available at manager's discretion
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* May be required to float to a sister facility
* Scrub color: Any color
* Charting system: Meditech (Epic experience preferred)
* Free parking available
* 24-hour orientation
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, IV vasopressors, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, triage, and traumatic brain injury care
* Serves patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and unit secretary
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates with 189 staffed beds and an active emergency department seeing approximately 120 patients per day across 16 rooms and 16 beds. The facility is both a STEMI-certified and stroke-certified facility offering comprehensive interdisciplinary support services. The emergency department serves a diverse patient population spanning all age groups and provides care for a wide range of conditions including trauma, neurological emergencies, and complex medical cases.
