RN - Emergency Department
Job Details:
* Self-scheduling with manager discretion for block schedule accommodations
* Patient ratio of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend required with 12 weekend shifts per contract
* No on-call requirements
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period for guaranteed hours
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of submission
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; at least 1 year required per facility
* First-time travelers accepted
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
* Scrub color: Any color
* Charting system: Meditech (Epic experience preferred)
* Free parking available
* May be required to float to a sister facility nearby contracted location
* Serves patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Daily census of 120 with 16 beds and 16 rooms
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and unit secretary
* 24 orientation hours required
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process prior to start
Facility:
This acute care hospital operates with 189 total staffed beds and provides comprehensive emergency department services for a broad range of patient populations, from neonates to geriatrics. The facility is a stroke-certified and STEMI-certified location with robust interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams. The emergency department maintains a high daily census and is equipped to handle complex, high-acuity cases across both adult and pediatric populations.
