Opportunity:

Pre-Op RN

Job Details:

* Shifts scheduled Monday through Friday with no weekend requirements
* Start times vary between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM
* No on-call required
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours)
* Work in a Pre-Op/Recovery setting covering general surgery, orthopedics, cardiac, and neuro cases
* Must be a well-rounded RN comfortable across multiple surgical specialties
* Inpatient experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty required; first-time travelers accepted with 3+ years of specialty experience
* Travel experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Block schedule and specific day requests cannot be accommodated
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO requests must be submitted at time of submission
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 40 patients across 15 beds
* Required certifications: BLS, PALS
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission

This acute care hospital features 320 staffed beds and provides comprehensive surgical services across multiple specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, cardiac, and neurology. The facility operates a dedicated Pre-Op and Recovery unit and is equipped to serve a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. The organization maintains high standards for nursing excellence and utilizes Epic as its primary charting system.
