Job Details:

* Role: Medical Assistant working within a Physiatry clinic setting
* Shift: 5 x 8-hour day shifts
* No weekend requirement
* No on-call requirement
* Minimum of 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* MA-C or MA-R certification required (MA-R will be endorsed by a provider at the clinic)
* BLS certification required
* Physiatry experience preferred
* Experience working with disabled adults and patients who may require physical assistance due to handicap highly preferred
* Experience with EPIC highly preferred
* Must be open to a temp-to-perm opportunity, completing a 13-week contract followed by a full-time hire at the end of the contract
* Clinician is expected to have their own reliable transportation
* May float within scope to meet facility needs as needed
* Skills required include: authorization forms, chart preparation, height/weight measurements, labeling of specimens, obtaining vital signs, positioning/draping, pulse oximetry, recording history/medications/allergies, rooming patients, scheduling appointments, suture removal, and wound care
* Serves adult patient population with approximately 10 visits per day across 14 rooms
* Interpretation services available as interdisciplinary support
* Clinic offers services including nerve conduction studies (NCS), EMG (electromyography diagnostic testing), and Botox injections for pain management

Facility:

This outpatient Physiatry clinic is a Center of Excellence for ALS and operates an Amputee Clinic, Wound Clinic, and an MDA Care Center. The facility provides a wide range of specialized rehabilitative and diagnostic services and is equipped with interpretation services to support a diverse patient population. The clinic utilizes EPIC as its charting system and is committed to delivering high-quality care to adults, including those with physical disabilities and complex medical needs.
