Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
* Rapid response assignment: 48 hours, 6 weeks
* Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays
* Start date: 5-7 days from offer
* No RTO or special scheduling requests will be accommodated
* Patient ratios: 1:1 to 1:4 in a 108-bed NICU
* Work with equipment including nasal cannula, bubble CPAP, ventilators, oscillators, IV pumps, NIRS, warmers, and isolettes
* Documentation systems: CPN and Meditech
* Float policy: Contract staff float before permanent staff to areas including PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU for patients 2 years and under
* Minimum 1 year Level III NICU experience required
* Required experience: Care of preemies (28 weeks and above), management of central lines, respiratory management up to and including intubated patients
* Preferred experience: Surgical patients, cardiac patients, experience with patients under 27 weeks, care of trach infants, experience with broviacs
* Procedures performed on unit: Central line insertions, circumcisions, exploratory laps, gastroschisis reductions, and PDA ligations
* Required certifications: BLS and NRP (must be included in submission packet)
* Dress code: Royal blue scrubs
Facility:
This facility is a large, well-equipped NICU located on the 4th floor of the North Tower, staffed with RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs. The unit supports a wide range of neonatal cases including surgical and cardiac patients, and is equipped with advanced respiratory and monitoring technology to provide comprehensive care for critically ill newborns.
