Job Details:
* Work in an Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department covering ED Holding, Triage, and Urgent Care
* Care for patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness, abdominal pain, and emergent, urgent, and non-urgent conditions and injuries
* 20% of patient population is pediatric, including infants, adolescents, and geriatrics
* 28-room emergency department
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Travel experience required - does not accept first-time travelers
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Level II Trauma Center experience required
* Required skills and procedures include: Chest Tubes, TPA, Breathing Treatments, Chest Tube Set-up/Care, Trach Care, RSI - Rapid Sequence Intubation Drugs, Cardioversion/Defibrillation, Cooling/Warming Blanket, LVAD/Impella, 12 Lead EKG, and Rapid Infuser
* Additional required skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Phlebotomy, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Starting and maintaining IVs, and Triage
* Special equipment experience required including: Cardizem, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Insulin, Levophed, Nitroglycerin, Norepinephrine, Propofol, Amiodarone, Antiarrhythmics, Antipsychotics, Antiseizure medications, Atropine, Beta Blockers, Heparin, Hydralazine, Ketamine, Lasix, Neosynephrine, Nicardipine, TPA, and Vasopressin
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities - refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process prior to start
