Job Details:

* 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Patient ratios of 1:6-7; staffing plan supports 1:6 normal ratios with flex to 1:7 in cases of unplanned absences
* Every other weekend required
* On-call required on a PRN basis for low census
* Floating required between med/surg units as needed
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS
* Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue

* Required skills include: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin, and Rapid Response
* Additional skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Chest tubes, Colostomy/ileostomy management, CVA care, Feeding tube care, Heparin administration, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Management of dysrhythmias, PCA, PICC line management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure care, Starting and maintaining IVs, Surgical drains, Tracheostomy care, Wound Care/Wound Vac
* Patients include adults and geriatric populations with diagnoses such as diabetes, renal disease, hypertension, CAD, stroke, chest pain, and altered mental status
* Telemedicine equipment used on unit; instruction will be provided
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams

This facility is a 34-bed community hospital offering a comprehensive medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities managed by monitor technicians in a central location. The unit supports a wide range of adult diagnoses and is backed by a robust interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The facility utilizes Epic as its electronic health record system and is committed to maintaining quality patient care through structured staffing plans and modern telemedicine technology.
