Job Details:

* Per diem position with night shifts and possible day shifts available
* Work in the Emergency Department and float to Medical/Surgical as needed
* 15-bed critical access hospital serving patients from birth to geriatric
* Patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1
* Work with patient populations including COPD, Diabetes, CHF, Cardiac, and Trauma cases
* Minimum 2 years of experience as an inpatient RN required
* Administer cardiac and diabetic drips
* EMR system: Cerner
* Telemetry equipment used
* No in-house pharmacy; RN required to mix own medications
* Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, and BLS
* Active Colorado (CO) nursing license required
* Certifications must be on file at time of submission
* Manager interview required prior to offer

Facility:

This critical access hospital is a small but comprehensive facility offering care across a wide range of patient needs, from birth through geriatric populations. The facility operates an Emergency Department with Medical/Surgical float coverage and manages a diverse patient population including cardiac, diabetic, COPD, CHF, and trauma cases. As a critical access hospital, nursing staff play a highly independent role, including mixing their own medications due to the absence of an in-house pharmacy.
