Opportunity:

RN - ICU (CVICU)

Job Details:

* 26-week contract with a hard start date of 11/16
* Must have EPIC experience
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
* Must have cardiovascular experience, including open heart and balloon pump experience
* First-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
* Average census of 24 patients with 28 beds/rooms
* Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
* Every other weekend coverage required
* No on-call requirement
* Self-scheduling
* Scrubs: Royal Blue
* Required skills include: interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, care of ventilated patients, interpretation of ABGs, and suctioning
* Cardiovascular ICU skills required including IABP management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, post cardiac surgery care, and pre/post cardiac cath/intervention
* Tele interpretation skills required - must pass Relias EKG exam prior to start and pass onsite EKG competency
* Advanced EKG exam required with a minimum passing score of 80%; two attempts permitted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, VIP/MAB/CPI certifications (in-person courses only)
* Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with application; no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment
* Community hospital experience required
* Active California license required at submission
* References required
