Nuc Med Tech/PETCT
Job Details:
* PET experience highly preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Primary shift will be in PET/CT, with coverage in Nuclear Medicine as needed
* Variable shift start times as early as 7:00 AM
* On-call starts at 5:30 PM through 7:00 AM the following morning
* Schedule includes rotating weekend shifts, weekday and weekend call, and occasional overtime
* Must be open to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
* Float required between Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT; may be required to float to sister facility in Mission Laguna Beach
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* Average of 6-7 PET/CT cases per day; general nuclear medicine studies average 9 per day including cardiacs, bone scans, renal, VQ, parathyroid, In-111 WB, and more
* Treats patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Equipment used: Siemens Symbia SPECT/CT, Siemens Symbia, Siemens Biograph Horizon PET/CT Siemens experience strongly preferred
* Charting system: Epic (highly preferred)
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT (N) or NMTCB, California license
* Preferred certifications: CT Advanced Certification
* Skills required include: PET scan, nuclear cardiology, bone scans, renal studies, ventilation/perfusion, pharmacological stress, starting and maintaining IVs, storing/handling/disposal of radioactive materials, and more
* Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
* All RTO requests must be submitted at time of submission; post-offer RTO may not be granted
* Contract length open to 26 weeks
Facility:
This is an acute care hospital with 488 total staffed beds, offering a full range of medical services across multiple locations. The facility operates a nuclear medicine department with 4 rooms 3 nuclear medicine and 1 PET/CT and utilizes advanced Siemens imaging technology. The organization uses Epic for electronic charting and maintains high standards for patient care across all age groups.
