Job Details:

* 5x8 shift schedule, Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* Contract length of 13 to 26 weeks
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Guaranteed hours: facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Block schedule available at manager's discretion
* Required certifications: BLS
* California PT state license required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Required skills and experience include: Acute Care, Home Exercise Programs, Lifting and Transfer, Patient and Family Education, ER, Geriatrics, ICU, Medical Surgical, Orthopedics, AROM/AAROM/PROM, Assistive Devices, Body Mechanics, Pain Assessment, Skin Integrity, Strength Testing, Vital Signs, Discharge, Evaluation, Plan of Care, Reassessments, Short Term Goals, Call Lights, Crutches, Gait Belt, Hospital Bed, Standard Walker, Supplemental O2
* Experience with conditions including COPD, CHF, CABG, Myocardial Infarction, Gait Training, Hip Fractures and Injuries, Knee Injuries and Tendinopathy, Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement, and Post Stroke Rehabilitation
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission

Facility:

This is a small, community-based acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds. The facility provides a full range of services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. The PT team sees a variety of diagnoses including total hip and knee replacements, CABG, general surgery, fractures, and general medical cases. Charting is completed using the Epic system, and free parking is available on site.
