Job Details:

* Labor & Delivery RN position with no floating between units required
* No on-call required
* Weekend shifts required - 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
* Block schedules are not required
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* 48-hour shifts approved
* Self-scheduling
* 24-hour orientation
* Scrub color: Navy for all RNs
* Free parking available in any unrestricted space
* Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
* Must be proficient in a wide range of L&D skills including but not limited to: administration of blood and blood products, antepartum care, antihypertensives, APGAR scores, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, cesarean section, circulating for C-sections, epidural anesthesia, external and internal fetal monitoring, hemorrhage and shock management, magnesium sulfate therapy, neonatal resuscitation, Pitocin administration, postpartum hemorrhage management, pre-eclampsia and eclampsia care, starting and maintaining IVs, sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, VBAC management, and use of infusion pumps and PCA
* Provides care to adolescent and adult patient populations
* Unit consists of 15 rooms
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Facility:

This facility is a Children's Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 total staff beds. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and interpretation services. The Labor & Delivery unit consists of 15 rooms and is equipped to handle a wide range of obstetric cases from routine deliveries to high-risk situations.
