Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with variable weekend coverage required
* No on-call responsibilities required
* Guaranteed hours: Clinician may be called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2-week period
* Float required to Postpartum unit
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates not accepted (50-mile radius rule applies)
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrub color: Any (no reddish orange permitted)
* Parking cost covered by facility
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process and prior to start
* Provide high-risk perinatal care in a Level III unit with 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, 30 postpartum beds, 3 ORs, 2 PACU, and 7-bay triage
* Staffing goals: 1:1 ratio in labor, 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support, 1:2-3 in antepartum
* Triage staffed with 3 skilled RNs per shift
* Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Ideally, candidates should have experience in facilities handling 200+ deliveries; candidates with experience in facilities handling 100-200 deliveries will also be considered
* Hardstop requirement: Must have sterile vaginal exam (SVE) experience
* All certifications are hardstop requirements including ACLS

Facility:

This facility is a Level II Trauma Center with 571 total staffed beds across two campuses. The position is based at a dedicated Pavilion for Women and Children offering comprehensive maternity services and a Level II NICU. The unit is fully supported around the clock with 3-4 delivering providers, 2 CRNAs, 2 health unit coordinators, surgical technicians on both day and night shifts, and CNA support in postpartum.
