Labor and Delivery RN

Job Details:

* 36 guaranteed hours per week with a 1:2 patient ratio
* Weekend requirement of 2 weekends every 6 weeks; night shift weekends may include Fridays
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN Advanced, NRP Advanced (must include all 11 components), Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), ACLS, and EFM
* Experience with vaginal exams and baby care required
* Experience with birth volume ranging from fewer than 100 to more than 300 births required
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrubs: No specific color required; camouflage or character patterns are not permitted
* Strict dress code enforced: no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos must be covered, no visible body piercings other than earrings, no facial or nose rings, and earrings may not extend beyond the earlobe or be hoop earrings
* Patient population includes adolescents with a focus on Labor and Delivery and High-Risk OB
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Unit consists of 33 rooms and 33 beds with a daily census of approximately 37 patients
* Floating within scope is not required
* Block scheduling is not available
