Opportunity:

RN - Tele/PCU

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Weekend coverage required every other weekend, may vary based on facility need
* Floating to other units may be required based on census needs; staff will only float to units they are qualified for with demonstrated competencies
* Block scheduling
* Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Care for adult and geriatric patients with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
* Common diagnoses include sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease
* Manage cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
* Unit capacity of 39 beds with a daily census of 32
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
* Required skills: Blood Glucose Monitoring/Testing, Colostomy/Ileostomy Management/Care, Feeding Tube Care and Management, Isolation Precautions/PPE, MS/Tele, Telemetry on-unit monitoring, Vital Sign Monitoring
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and South Carolina license
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* First-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience
* Pre-assignment testing and modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information
