Opportunity:
RN - Cath Lab
Job Details:
* Work 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Friday from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM with rotating days off
* Call requirements include 1 weekend of call per month and 1 to 2 nights per week
* No floating to other units or departments
* Minimum 1 year of critical care or cath lab/special procedures experience required
* Roles include monitor nurse, sedation nurse, and optional scrub role
* Perform cath lab procedures including diagnostic studies (left and right heart), PCIs, CTOs, and Impella/IABP support
* Assist with structural heart procedures including TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip, and PFO/ASD closures
* Support EP procedures including EP studies and device implants (scrub and pan roles)
* Assist with IR procedures including peripheral interventions, endoluminal grafts, carotid stents, TIPS/DIPS, embolizations, thrombolysis, nephrology/biliary/drainage tubes, ports, and IVC filters
* Utilize EPIC CUPID and McKesson charting systems
* Nurse to patient ratio is a minimum of 1 nurse per cath lab within teams of 4
* Facility operates 6 cath suites including 1 dedicated EP bi-plane, 2 hybrid suites in a separate OR, 2 cath suites, and 1 IR suite
* Hospital scrub attire required
* BSN not required
* Oregon state nursing license required; non-Oregon licensed RNs may be eligible for a 90-day temporary license
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
Facility:
This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering a comprehensive range of cardiovascular and interventional radiology services. The department features 6 specialized cath suites equipped to handle a wide variety of complex cardiac and vascular procedures. The unit provides a structured orientation program pairing new staff with experienced nurses, including call orientation, to ensure familiarity with departmental workflows and medical record systems.
