Opportunity:

RN - MS Float

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with day shift scheduling
* Every other weekend requirement
* Every other holiday requirement
* First to float when needed
* 48-hour shifts may be required
* Call or standby requirement with LCD
* Floating requirements apply
* Patient ratios: 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
* Nurse aide support available at a 1:15 ratio
* Care for surgical patients including total joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, and general surgery
* Care for medical patients with diagnoses including CHF, CVA, shortness of breath, and diabetic issues
* Telemetry monitoring on unit with monitor tech reading strips and RN confirming
* Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
* RNs are not required to titrate drips
* Charting system: EPIC
* Any scrub color permitted
* Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract; 3 shifts if contract is under 13 weeks
* Required certification: BLS
* BSN not required
* Acute care setting

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a Medical-Surgical Float unit with 61 combined beds, providing comprehensive inpatient care across multiple specialties. The unit supports both surgical and medical patient populations and is equipped with telemetry monitoring capabilities supported by dedicated monitor technicians. The facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic health record system and maintains structured orientation programs including travel contract-based orientation and unit-specific float checklists.
