Open Position: Social Worker - Licensed Social Worker

Job Details:

* Work 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or evening shifts from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
* Work every other weekend, including both Saturday and Sunday
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 7
* Float between sister hospital Emergency Department (Holy Family Hospital) to perform the same duties if overstaffed
* Work in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room setting
* Conduct crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatric patients
* Evaluate patients suffering from mental health illness and substance use disorder
* Provide level of care recommendations as a consultant, directed by an ED attending provider or APP
* Perform biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and mental health assessments
* Facilitate discharge and contingency planning and coordinate with internal and external team members
* Must hold full independent licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Independent Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - associate license will not suffice
* Minimum of 1 year of experience required; hospital experience preferred
* Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Block scheduling not required
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, also designated as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. With 629 staffed beds, it operates as a teaching hospital offering a wide range of specialty services. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and provides a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment supporting both adult and pediatric patient populations.
