Open Position: PT - Physical Therapist Acute Care

Job Details:

* Work 4x10 shifts Sunday through Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
* Facility may call off up to 6 times throughout a 13-week assignment
* Weekend day required as part of the schedule
* Average daily census of 11 patients
* No on-call requirements
* May be asked to float to surrounding clinics
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
* Preferred generalist who is confident with medical diagnosis
* Preferred ability to manage moderate to maximum assist patients and co-treatments
* Ability to work with ventilated patients preferred
* Ability to pivot easily and pick up additional evaluations throughout the day
* Patient transport to/from treatment experience preferred
* Required unit experience: Emergency Room and Medical Surgical
* Preferred unit experience: ICU
* Dress code: Business casual
* Charting system: Cerner
* Free parking available
* All employees are expected to adhere to quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted
* Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card, Wound Care
* Current Arizona license in hand required at start

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is a teaching hospital and Level IV trauma center with 87 total staffed beds. The facility operates a department seven days a week and supports a broad range of patient diagnoses across acute care settings. The organization maintains high standards for quality and patient safety and utilizes Cerner for electronic charting.
