Opportunity:

Dermatology Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Job Details:

* 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday with weekends off
* 13-week contract length
* No on-call required
* No weekend shifts required
* Must be a certified Medical Assistant (MA-C); MA-R, MA-P, and MA-HT credentials are not accepted
* Minimum 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult or pediatric outpatient clinic setting required
* Dermatology setting experience preferred
* EPIC charting experience required
* Scrub color: Any
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
* Floating required for staffing coverage as needed (not every day); float locations include West Seattle, Bellevue, and Issaquah
* Reliable personal transportation required (public transportation is not accepted)
* Perform and document vital signs
* Assist with patient positioning and draping
* Record patient history, medications, and allergies
* Set up and assist with procedures including biopsies, dressing changes, and aseptic/sterile procedure trays
* Label and manage specimen collection
* Perform suture removal and wound care
* Apply aseptic technique and room patients
* See patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Approximately 25 patient visits per day

Facility:

This outpatient dermatology clinic provides specialized skin care services to patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. The facility performs a range of dermatological procedures including biopsies and surgical excisions, and operates with a patient-centered approach in a collaborative clinical environment. The clinic utilizes EPIC as its charting system and maintains multiple locations throughout the greater Seattle area.
