Opportunity:
Cath Lab Tech
Job Details:
* Work 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with shift end times varying until procedures are complete
* Daily caseload includes running 4 to 5 labs per day with 2-3 CVT per lab and approximately 20-25 cases per day
* On-call required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month and one call shift and evening shift every week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs
* Holiday coverage required as needed
* No floating between service lines or sister facilities required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
* 2+ years of Cath Lab experience required
* Must be proficient in coronary diagnostic/intervention scrub and monitor
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process), and SC license (SCRQSA)
* Radiation badge required and must be provided by the agency
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Hospital-issued scrubs provided
* Patients treated include adults and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include diagnostic and interventional coronary cath, diagnostic and interventional vascular, angioplasty, shockwave, temporary pacer, IABP, Impella, carotid angiogram, atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), FFR/IFR, pericardiocentesis, and cardiac biopsies
* Special equipment includes Impella, Balloon Pump, Angiojet, Shock Wave, MAC Lab for documentation, and Vidistar for image storage
* Required skills include accurate monitoring, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), rotablator atherectomy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, embolization, and IVC filter placement
Facility:
This acute care hospital operates a 304-bed facility offering advanced cardiac and interventional services. The Cath Lab department runs 4 to 5 active labs daily, supporting a high-volume caseload across a broad range of diagnostic and interventional procedures. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and maintains modern imaging and monitoring equipment to support complex cardiovascular care.
