Open Position: SLP - SLP Inpatient

Inpatient SLP Days

Job Details:

* Day shift schedule with 45-minute long treatment sessions
* Work on an 18-bed rehabilitation unit
* Manage a speech caseload of 10-14 patients between acute care and rehabilitation
* Average daily census of 8-9 patients on the rehabilitation unit
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
* Work with patients diagnosed with stroke, Parkinson's disease, other neurological conditions, swallowing deficits, and cognitive deficits
* Complete evaluations and treatments for rehabilitation patients with swallowing, language, and cognitive deficits
* Perform bedside swallow evaluations, modified barium swallow studies, and Passy Muir Valve assessments
* Utilize augmentative and alternative communication devices, communication boards, and memory aids
* Document using Epic charting system
* Float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
* 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS
* Valid Kansas SLP license required and must be in hand at time of submission
