Job Details:
* 13-week contract assignment
* 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* 40 expected hours per week
* On-call required, including weekends and holidays
* Hospital-provided dress code
* Assist in advanced procedures such as pulmonary thrombectomy, AAA, TEVAR, and FEVAR
* Assist with complex procedures including multiple wire exchanges, long wires, and over-the-wire balloons
* Operate specialty devices such as laser, penumbra, Inari, and shockwave equipment
* Circulate, monitor, and scrub all Interventional Vascular procedures
* Troubleshoot imaging equipment in collaboration with biomedical engineers
* Participate in procedural charging and supply management
* Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
* Discuss plan of action with physicians and assist with high-risk procedures
* Cross-train as needed to support departmental needs
* Operate x-ray systems including panning table and various imaging angles
* Manage access sites including sheath removal, hematoma assessment, and hematoma management
* Apply radiation safety concepts and sterile technique
* Demonstrate knowledge of vascular anatomy and lesion identification
* Precept new staff and students as an Interventional Vascular Specialist II
* Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Vascular Specialist, Interventional Radiology Technologist, or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist required
* Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic or cardiovascular technology required
* Required certification: ARRT-R with VI or CV credential, or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
