Job Details:
* Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or evening shift hours from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
* 10-hour shifts
* Every other weekend required, including both Saturday and Sunday
* No on-call required
* No block scheduling required
* Patient ratio of 7
* May be required to float to a sister hospital emergency department to perform the same duties if overstaffed
* Work in the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room
* Conduct crisis risk assessments for adult and pediatric patients
* Evaluate patients suffering from mental health illness and substance use disorder
* Assess level of risk for danger to self, danger to others, or gravely disabled status
* Provide level of care recommendations as a consultant directed by an ED attending provider or APP
* Perform biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and mental health assessments
* Facilitate discharge and contingency planning and coordinate with interdisciplinary team members
* Must hold full independent licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) an associate license will not suffice
* Minimum of 3 years of experience required
* Hospital experience preferred
* Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics required
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Required certifications: LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Facility:
This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, also designated as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, with 629 staffed beds. It operates as a teaching hospital and utilizes Epic for charting. The emergency department serves both adult and pediatric populations, with access to a full range of specialty support services. Parking is provided at no cost.
