Opportunity:

RN - Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry

Job Details:

* 3x12 or 4x12 night shift schedule
* Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per contract
* 1:3 or 1:4 patient staffing ratios
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First time travelers accepted
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Float to other units possible
* No on-call requirements
* Up to two pre-approved time off requests allowed
* Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
* Common patient diagnoses include heart failure, TAVR, CABG, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, renal failure, and respiratory failure
* Required skills include blood product administration, central line care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, managing cardiac drips without titration, managing vasoactive drips without titration, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care and management
* Special procedures include emergent cardioversion and central line placement
* Special equipment includes BIPAP/CPAP, IPPB, and HHF
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

Facility:

This facility is a comprehensive stroke center and Level II Trauma, Chest Pain Accredited facility with a 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry floor. The facility has the capability to provide complex care to PCI and open-heart surgery patients and is supported by a full interdisciplinary team.
