Opportunity:

RN - Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry

Job Details:

* 3x12-hour night shifts per week
* Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Must be proficient in blood product administration, central line care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, cardiac drip management without titration, vasoactive drip management without titration, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care and management
* Special equipment experience required: BIPAP/CPAP, IPPB, and HHF
* Ability to perform emergent cardioversion and assist with central line placement
* Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
* Common patient diagnoses include heart failure, TAVR, CABG, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, renal failure, and respiratory failure
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* Float to other units may be required
* No on-call requirements
* Up to two pre-approved time off requests allowed
* 24-hour orientation provided
* 50-mile radius rule applies - no local candidates

Facility:

This facility operates a 24-bed Progressive Care, Stepdown, and Telemetry unit and is recognized as a comprehensive stroke center and Level II Trauma facility. The facility is also chest pain accredited and has the capability to provide complex care to patients undergoing PCI and open-heart surgery. The organization offers robust interdisciplinary support services to ensure high-quality patient care across a wide range of complex medical conditions.
