Opportunity:

Infectious Disease Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Job Details:

* 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* No weekend shifts required
* No on-call requirements
* Same location every day - no floating between units
* Temp to hire opportunity open to local and non-local candidates
* Must be a certified Medical Assistant (MA-C); MA-R, MA-P, and MA-HT credentials are not accepted
* Minimum 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic setting required
* Epic charting experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
* Required license: MA-C
* Scrub color: Any color
* Perform vital signs including height/weight, 12-lead EKG/ECG, pulse oximetry, and vision testing
* Assist with patient exam preparation including positioning, draping, and recording history, medications, and allergies
* Set up and assist with procedures including dressing changes, pap smears, and aseptic/sterile procedure trays
* Administer injections including immunizations, intradermal, and intramuscular
* Collect specimens including sputum, stool, throat, urine (UA/clean catch), vaginal, and wound specimens
* Perform laboratory tests including strep and urine dipstick/urinalysis
* Handle office duties including authorization forms, chart preparation, insurance verification, ordering and stocking supplies, pharmacy calls, scheduling appointments, and telephone triage
* Apply professional skills including administering medication, TB test administration, aseptic technique, follow-up phone calls, reviewing lab results, rooming patients, suture removal, and wound care

This is an Infectious Disease Clinic providing specialized outpatient care for adult patients. The facility utilizes Epic as its electronic health records system and maintains a structured, Monday through Friday schedule to support a consistent and collaborative care environment. The clinic focuses on delivering comprehensive infectious disease management and treatment services to its patient population.
