Opportunity:
Occupational Health RN
Job Details:
* Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* Open to both local and travel candidates
* At least 1 year of occupational health or related nursing experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Perform pre-employment health screens in collaboration with Human Resources and core leaders
* Provide and manage surveillance services including tuberculosis, hazardous drugs, lead, and hearing conservation programs
* Administer vaccinations in alignment with organizational policy
* Manage caregiver exposures to blood, body fluids, or infectious disease following established protocols
* Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of employee health records using current standard operating procedures
* Provide clinical expertise and guidance regarding caregivers with infectious diseases to reduce communicable disease risk
* Participate on committees and in huddles to share employee health data and collaborate on risk reduction measures
* Review occupational incident data to identify trends and provide recommendations on prevention or mitigation measures
* Travel to ministry sites to provide on-site services as directed
* Maintain awareness of resources related to well-being and injury prevention to share with caregivers
* Contribute to development of standard operating procedures, clinical standard work, and other programs
* Manage supplies and equipment to maintain adequate inventory and functionality
* Working knowledge of regulatory requirements including Joint Commission, OSHA, CDC, and local health department standards required
* Must demonstrate high level of accuracy, strong time management, and priority-setting skills
* New in-house EHR system will need to be learned; EPIC is no longer used
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
