Open Position: Medical Assistant - Medical Assistant

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $1591.40

Opportunity:

MA - Outpatient

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 1 year of outpatient experience
* Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP accredited program required
* BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
* High school diploma or GED required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Venipuncture experience required
* No weekend shifts required
* Floating required to other clinics in the tower
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* Perform skills including administering medication, rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, venipuncture, and 12-lead EKG/ECG
* Additional responsibilities include telephone triage, chart preparation, specimen labeling, urine UA/clean catch, blood glucose via glucometer, and nebulizer treatments
* Support tasks include scheduling appointments, insurance verification, pharmacy calls/patient refill requests, and follow-up phone calls
* Work with adult patient population
* Interdisciplinary support available including interpretation services, phlebotomy, pharmacy, and unit secretary
