Opportunity:
RN - Infusion
Job Details:
* 9-hour day shifts with varied start times between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, with potential to work as late as 6:00 PM
* Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with Saturday and Sunday typically 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM, flexing to volume
* Occasional weekends required
* Outpatient care setting
* Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy via IV, IM, and SQ routes
* Administer antibiotics, biologics, and blood products including PRBCs, platelets, and FFP
* Perform therapeutic phlebotomy procedures
* Maintain central lines including PICC dressing changes and PAC flushes
* Provide other supportive care infusions
* Work in a team-oriented environment in PODs with RN partners and CNA support
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 6 to 9 patients depending on acuity
* Utilize EPIC BEACON charting system
* Operate ICU Medical Plum 360 IV pumps and CADD CIV pumps
* Use Omnicell medication system, Hoyer lifts, Sara Steady, and occasional ultrasound for difficult IV starts
* Wear scrubs; mask required for known neutropenic patients
* Prior experience with chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration required
* Strong IV therapy skills required
* Active Oregon RN license required
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ONS/ONCC chemotherapy immunotherapy provider card
* OCN certification preferred
* Cancellation policy: Up to 24 hours per 13-week contract

This outpatient cancer treatment center operates a large infusion unit consisting of 33 chairs and 2 private rooms, with a planned expansion of 4 additional chairs. The facility provides a comprehensive range of infusion services in a team-oriented environment structured around POD-based care delivery. The center utilizes advanced technology and equipment to support high-quality patient care and offers a structured orientation program with preceptor-led training.
