Open Position: Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Opportunity:

CST - OR (Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery)

Job Details:

* Shifts are open at this time - let us know what the clinician is looking for
* Contracts open for 13 weeks or longer
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks
* One week of unit orientation required, beginning at Ruby Medical Center before transitioning to Berkeley Medical Center
* Must have experience in Cardiac, Thoracic, or Vascular surgery - no new travelers or new clinicians
* Travel experience strongly preferred
* Common cardiac surgery cases include CABG, valve repair/replacement (open and robotic), ECMO, and transplant
* Thoracic surgery cases include robotic, endoscopic, and open procedures such as lung resection, VATS, esophagostomy, POEM, hiatal hernia repair, mediport, EGD, and stents of GI and respiratory systems
* Vascular surgery cases include diagnostic angiography, percutaneous interventions, surgical endarterectomy, dialysis access management, AAA repair (open and endovascular), visceral arterial repair/intervention, and amputation
* Mandatory call required - one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month
* Call response time: 30 minutes (housing available for clinicians on call if needed)
* Holiday call: traveler will be inserted into holiday call rotation as needed
* May be required to float within other services of the OR
* Charge person present each day in the OR
* Dress code: Ceil blue surgical scrubs provided by the hospital
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
* BSN not required
