MS Ortho Unit

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shifts
* Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
* Half of scheduled shifts will require weekend coverage
* Float required
* 36-bed unit
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience preferred
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care and management, heparin, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), insulin, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), isolation precautions/PPE, med/surg, telemetry, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, ortho trauma, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care/management, peripheral nerve block catheters, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, pre/post neurosurgery, pre/post thoracic surgery, renal failure, spinal cord injury, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, total joint replacement, tracheostomy care/management, traumatic brain injury, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* State or compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
* License hits not accepted
* All requested time off must be listed at time of submittal
