MS/Tele RN

Job Details:

* Float position between Acute Care units at two Providence facilities
* Weekends required - minimum every other weekend
* No on-call required
* No block scheduling required
* Patient ratios of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Scrub color: Any color accepted
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* No parking fee
* At least 1 year of recent MS/Tele experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, PCA management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, wound care/wound vac, and orthopedic patient care
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Common patient diagnoses include surgical patients, ORIF, wound vac/infections, cellulitis, and BKA
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours

This is a Critical Access type facility with 23 total staff beds and a daily census of approximately 13 patients across 12 rooms. The facility provides a wide range of interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The organization operates multiple acute care locations, offering travelers the opportunity to work across sister facilities in the area.
