Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
* Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Manage a variety of patient diagnoses including pneumonia, COPD, asthma, fractures, lacerations, abdominal pain, chest pain, MI, CVA, sepsis, trauma, overdose, and altered mental status
* Perform usual emergency department and Level 4 Trauma procedures
* Utilize special equipment including Vapotherm
* Skills required: care of ventilated patients, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and triage
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
* Current RN license in good standing with the State of New Mexico or current compact license required
* Requested time off must be submitted at time of submission

Facility:

This emergency department facility operates as a Level 4 Trauma Center providing comprehensive emergency care services to patients of all ages. The facility is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretarial staff. With 7 rooms and 6 beds, the department sees approximately 25 patient visits per day and is equipped to handle a wide range of emergency and trauma cases.
