Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts available in multiple configurations: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM, 11:00 AM-11:00 PM, 3:00 PM-3:00 AM, and 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
* Schedule determined by leadership based on department needs
* Every other weekend requirement
* No floating requirements
* 2 shifts of unit/department specific orientation provided
* 2 years of emergency department experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, and HSS Team (workplace violence training)
* Navy blue scrubs required
* Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
* EMR system: EPIC
* IV pumps: Alaris
* Patient ratio of 1:4-5 based on acuity
* Care for all age groups with common diagnoses including chest pain, abdominal pain, cough/congestion, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, behavioral health, sepsis, and stroke
* Administer common drips including antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, and emergency medications
* Utilize TeleHealth services with a focus on purposeful rounding
* Charge nurse present on each shift
* Block scheduling is not guaranteed
* Pass/fail open book exam during orientation with a minimum passing score of 90% required

This acute care facility operates a fully equipped emergency department with 18 beds and trauma bays, functioning as a certified stroke center and STEMI receiving facility. The department treats a high volume of high-acuity patients across all age groups and utilizes TeleHealth technology to enhance patient care. The facility emphasizes purposeful rounding and maintains a strong team-oriented culture with a charge nurse present on every shift.
