Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg/ER

Job Details:

* Work 36 hours per week with mostly 12-hour night shifts with some possible 12-hour day shifts
* Weekends required with a variety of rotating 8 or 12-hour shifts
* No on-call responsibilities
* Will work with 2 or more RNs on each shift
* Float between med/surg and emergency room departments
* Med/Surg unit has 19 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5 on nights
* Perform IV starts and infusions, Foley catheter insertions and care, nasogastric tube insertions and care, feeding tube infusions and care, telemetry monitoring, and head-to-toe assessments for med/surg and ER patients
* Care for swing bed (skilled) patients recovering from acute illness requiring additional rehab or IV infusions
* Support outpatient surgical cases including appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and hernia repairs requiring overnight stays
* Utilize computerized charting in Epic, Omnicell medication dispensing system, Plum A+ IV pumps, and Philips cardiac monitors and telemetry
* Minimum 2 years of experience required with skills in IV starts, ER care, medical/surgical patients, and care of swing bed patients
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, NRP
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs top and bottom
* One week of orientation provided
