Job Details:

* Day shift schedule with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 48 hours at straight time allowed
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
* Float required - may be floated to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, CVICU, capped at 4 patients maximum while floating
* First time travelers welcome
* Minimum 1.5+ years of experience required
* Pending NM/Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, PICC line management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and additional advanced ICU skills
* Treats adult patient population
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams

Facility:

This facility is a large intensive care unit featuring 32 beds and rooms, providing comprehensive critical care services to adult patients. The unit offers robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility maintains a structured floating policy and provides brief orientation to travelers assigned to new units.
