Opportunity:

Dietitian - Clinical

Job Details:

* Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
* Floating required as needed throughout the Kern County Network
* EPIC experience required
* Must be able to function as an acute inpatient clinical dietitian independently
* Must have extensive experience working with Parenteral Nutrition
* Experience in all clinical areas required with ability to pass competencies within first few days
* Perform nutritional assessments and reassessments for patients identified with special needs or nutritional risk
* Develop and implement individualized nutritional plans of care
* Monitor nutritional intake and initiate appropriate interventions
* Provide nutritional education to patients, family members, and healthcare team personnel
* Administer medical nutrition therapy in a safe and accurate manner with thorough documentation
* Communicate interdisciplinary care needs and document all interventions per policy and practice standards
* Bachelor's Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent required
* Master's Degree required if eligibility for examination began on or after 1/1/24
* Dietetic internship or equivalent required
* Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required within 6 months of completion of residency program
* Minimum two years of recent clinical experience required
* Current BLS certification required
