Opportunity:

Registered Dietitian

Job Details:

* 5x8 shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
* Weekend coverage required every third week with some holiday coverage as needed
* Block scheduling type
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated and no time off requests within the first 2 weeks of assignment
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian required
* Active RD/RDN certification required at time of submission - pending licensure not accepted
* Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Proficiency in Epic and Computrition applications required
* Experience in healthcare food and nutrition service operations or comparable experience required
* Provide direct patient care in the inpatient acute care setting including nutrition assessments and reassessments
* Perform calorie counts, enteral nutrition management, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) oversight
* Complete case finding, complex menu review, and reconciliation of nutrition orders between systems
* Provide patient education and coordinate plan of care in conjunction with the registered dietitian
* Conduct nutrition-focused physical exams and manage therapeutic diet orders
* Oversee supplement and tube feeding review
* Contribute to fiscal management of food service operations
* Must be able to stand and walk for the greater portion of the assigned shift
* Must be able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
* Flu vaccination required - no exemptions
