Opportunity:

L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position with the option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend required
* Float to Postpartum as needed based on facility needs
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* Valid KS or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN, NRP - must be in hand at time of submission
* FHM certification also required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Care for patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
* Provide care for laboring patients including high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes for gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
* Perform and assist with C-sections, external cephalic versions, and vaginal deliveries
* Manage OB triage, postpartum care, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery patients
* Administer and manage Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), prostaglandins, insulin drips, and antihypertensives
* Perform neonatal resuscitation, newborn assessments, and use of external and internal fetal monitoring
* Experience with IUPC placement and calibration, NSTs, and recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns required

Facility:

This facility operates a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit that includes OB triage, postpartum care, and a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. The unit provides comprehensive obstetric services, supporting complex maternal and neonatal cases and offering a wide range of specialized procedures to support both mother and baby throughout the care continuum.
