Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technician

Job Details:

* Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab required with at least two of the following four modalities: Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro
* Minimum 18 months of experience in specialty required; 2 years preferred
* Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 12-hour shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
* Call requirement based on need of unit; no set schedule but call is required
* Weekend requirement can be discussed with manager
* Will float within scope to meet facility needs; floating required to all three sister facilities within 20 miles
* Block scheduling is not available
* Local candidates accepted at the same rate
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission; any RTO added later will likely not be approved
* Scrub color: Ceil Blue
* Charting system: EPIC
* Free parking available in any unrestricted space
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT R, CCI RCIS; RCVT or RCIS preferred
* Required skills include: Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), IABP Placement/Removal, Interpretation of Dysrhythmias, Left and Right Heart Catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), PTCA, Rotablator Atherectomy, Scrub Procedures, Equipment Setup, Recognition of Life-Threatening Arrhythmias, Room Circulator, Sterile Field Maintenance, Isolation Precautions/PPE, and Sterile Technique
* EKG and Pharmacology test required during orientation; 2 attempts maximum with no remediation for re-test
* Required modules must be completed prior to start date and are non-billable
* 2 references from a direct supervisor, manager, ANM, or director required
* Nicotine-free facility; negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required

This short-term acute care facility features 180 staffed beds and utilizes EPIC for charting. The facility supports a comprehensive Cardiac Cath Lab with multiple modalities including Interventional Radiology, Vascular, and Neuro services. The organization maintains high standards of care and operates across multiple campuses, offering a dynamic and collaborative environment for traveling healthcare professionals.
