CVICU Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
* Every other weekend required
* Scrub color: Navy
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Unit consists of a mix of cardiac surgical and cardiac medical patients, with occasional adult medical ICU overflow
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* May float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU if needed
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVVHD/CRRT, Impella, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, PICC line management, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, sheath removal, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* First-time travelers are welcome

Facility:

This facility operates a 24-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit with a daily census of 20 patients, providing specialized care for cardiac surgical and medical patients. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy to ensure comprehensive patient care.
