Opportunity:

Medical Assistant - OBGYN

Job Details:

* 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
* No weekend requirements
* Floating required as needed between Beverly Hills, Los Feliz, and Playa Vista locations
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting required
* Minimum 1 year of OBGYN experience required
* Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP accredited program required
* BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
* High school diploma or GED required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture required
* Experience with OBGYN procedures required: PAP, Colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon, and NST
* Responsible for rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, recording patient histories, and collecting blood and specimens
* Administer medications including immunizations and intramuscular injections
* Perform blood glucose monitoring, urinalysis, and urine dipstick testing
* Conduct follow-up phone calls and telephone triage
* Label specimens and review lab tests
* Address patient, physician, and staff concerns and escalate accordingly
* Assist with QA measures including recording QC testing on designated equipment
* Monitor workflow to identify opportunities for improvement
* Participate in daily huddles and staff meetings
* Adhere to all infection prevention standards, department policies, and guidelines
* Patient population: Adult women's reproductive health

This outpatient OBGYN facility is a large women's health practice with approximately 20 providers specializing in comprehensive women's reproductive health care. The facility offers a full range of services including OB visits, GYN consults, and OBGYN procedures. The practice is committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative clinical environment that supports both patients and healthcare professionals.
